Introduction

My name is Travis, and I have psoriasis.  I first noticed a couple small red spots on my leg and arm around October 2011, and was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis in December when I finally went to have it checked out by a dermatologist.  I was just turning 30, and had never heard of it before, nor had I ever experienced anything like it.  At that time, however, my psoriasis was limited to a few small spots on my right leg and left arm, and I was mildly amused by the novelty of it all.

Fast forward six months.  Things have gone from a few mildly amusing spots to complete WTF outbreak.  The last time I saw my doctor he told me  I have one of the most severe cases he has ever seen.

I realize now that this is not just some small thing that will run its course and go away.  The battle is on, and I’m going to record the journey.  Here you will read about my experience as I document treatments, successes, and failures.  Hopefully this will aid in my recovery, or at least help me cope.  With any luck, perhaps there is a chance I can beat this, and perhaps this blog will help others too.
